DC Health Link representatives will participate with The Rodham Institute and provide information about the Affordable Care Act, DC Health Link – the District’s online health insurance marketplace, Medicaid options for individuals and families, financial help, and the Special Enrollment Period. FREE help with enrollment will also be available. This fun family festival boasts health screenings (diabetes, HIV/Aids, blood pressure, cancer screenings, an ‘Ask the Nurse’ table, and an ‘Ask the Doctor’ table); on-site pre-enrollment for Spring 2016 for the University of the District of Columbia Flagship and Community College; healthy food cooking demonstrations with give aways; physical activity (Zumba classes, yoga, weight room demonstrations with physical therapists and certified sports trainers); face painting; food; give aways for back-to-school; and a mini parade.
