While residents wash clothes and wait for them to dry, DCHL certified assisters and licensed health insurance brokers will set up shop at local Laundromats to provide information about the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and DC Health Link, the District’s new online marketplace for health insurance.  Consumers will receive information about health insurance plans that meet their needs and budgets. Their questions will be answered and enroll assistance will be provided.  When applying, consumers will learn if they are eligible for Medicaid or financial assistance with private health insurance premiums as well as for reduced out-of-pocket health expenses.
