DC Health Link to Observe Thanksgiving Thursday, Nov. 26

Contact Center Will Be Open Friday, Nov. 27 and Saturday, Nov. 28; Storefront Enrollment Centers Will Be Closed Through the Weekend

What/Who:
In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, DC Health Link and its Contact Center will be closed on Thursday, November 26. Additionally, DC Health Link’s storefront enrollment centers will be closed on Thursday, November 26 through the holiday weekend. DC Health Link’s Contact Center will re-open on Friday, November 27 for regularly scheduled hours and will also be open on Saturday, November 28 to answer questions and to assist District residents with enrollment.

Background:
The Affordable Care Act provides individuals, families, and small businesses in the District of Columbia with affordable options for quality health insurance. DC Health Link is the District’s online health insurance marketplace which allows visitors to shop, compare, and enroll in coverage that fits their needs and budgets.

Open Enrollment began November 1, 2015 and ends January 31, 2016. Eligible District residents can enroll in a health insurance plan through DCHealthLink.com. Eligible residents who enroll on or before December 15, 2015 will have their benefits effective January 1, 2016. After that date, plan selections made by the 15th of each month during Open Enrollment will be effective on the first day of the following month. Small businesses—as well as individuals and families eligible for Medicaid—can enroll through DCHealthLink.com at any point.
