New Faith Based Enrollment Centers Open to Help Enroll Residents in Health Plans Before March 31 Deadline

Friday, January 31, 2014
Assisters and brokers to provide on-site enrollment assistance.

What/Who:
The March 31st deadline for enrolling in health insurance is approaching fast. Faith based organizations and institutions are answering the call by providing locations for residents and small business to get information about health insurance plans and offer assistance with the enrollment process. Consumers are encouraged to visit newly opened enrollment centers to beat the last minute rush and avoid the tax penalty.

DC Health Link assisters and licensed health insurance brokers will be at each of the faith based enrollment locations to provide information, answer questions and encourage residents to avoid the rush and the penalty this year, by signing up before the March 31, 2014 deadline. Education and enrollment activities will continue to occur throughout the city this Sunday, and every Sunday until the end of the open enrollment period.
