Reaching the Uninsured as They Ring in and Celebrate the New Year

Wednesday, December 31, 2014
DC Health Link at Watch Night Services, NHL Winter Classic and Post Season College Bowl Games to Encourage Uninsured to Enroll in Quality, Affordable Health Insurance

WHAT/WHO:          As residents ring in and celebrate the New Year, DC Health Link will be in the crowds searching for the uninsured, urging them to make health care a number one priority in the New Year and providing them with information about the District’s new online health insurance marketplace that allows them to shop, compare, and enroll in health insurance coverage that fits their needs and budgets.

DC Health Link representatives will attend local churches for the annual New Year’s Eve Watch Night Services, exhibit at the NHL Winter Classic and join college football fans at local establishments for the post-season College Bowl Games. They will answer questions and provide information about quality affordable health insurance coverage, enrollment support, financial help with premium payments, and Medicaid options.  For more information about DC Health Link and to get a copy of the enrollment checklist, consumers can visit www.dchealthlink.com or call 1.855.532.LINK (5465).
