WHAT:
Friday, December 15, 2017 is the last day District residents can enroll in a health plan with benefits effective January 1, 2018. With this deadline now only a day away, DC Health Link is increasing important resources to help last minute shoppers get enrolled in health coverage that begins the first day of the New Year.
“Fact Mobs” with DC Health Link assisters will be at Metro stations on Friday, December 15, 2017, during morning and afternoon rush hours distributing information and directing consumers to the closest enrollment center. “Fact Mobs” are where assisters greet residents at Metro stations and pass out information and shouting out important facts about the Affordable Care Act and DC Health Link.
DC Health Link is also extending the hours at THREE enrollment centers—Whitman Walker Health Center, Mary’s Center, Unity Health Care Minnesota Avenue. Additionally, DC Health Link’s Call Center will have extended hours to assist consumers.
