DC Health Link assisters and volunteers will visit commercial strips popular with millennials and bounce from one brunch spot to the next to reach, inform and engage young adults about the ACA and health insurance through DC Health Link. Through this unique canvassing of commercial and residential areas, they will spread the word to this targeted hard-to-reach population and answer questions about enrollment, insurance renewal, financial help and enrollment support and  locations.  This targeted populations will also be reminded of the upcoming December 15th deadline to get enrolled for coverage beginning January 1. Restaurant owners are being requested to participate in this effort by offering DCHL -NYED branded specials (meal and drinks) and by allowing DCHL assisters, volunteers and canvassers to interact with customers. Customers will be encouraged to take healthy selfies and videos to post on their social media platforms.
