It’s that time again for us to come together to recognize DC’s vibrant small business community at the 2nd Annual POWERUP DC National Small Business Week Forum. This year, the DC Health Benefit Exchange Authority (DCHBX) will partner with the Washington Business Journal to host the event along with local business organizations, DC Chamber of Commerce (DCCC), the Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GWHCC), National Association of Health Underwritersand Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW). The event is open to businesses in the District of Columbia and will include a continental breakfast. The POWER UP DC forum is designed to give small business owners and the companies that serve them the insights needed for success. Participants will gain industry knowledge on how to impact the bottom line, learn the ins and outs of the small business marketplace, the tips for operating and growing a small business and discover best business practices and industry specific topics.

As part of this year’s event, the Washington Business Journal will present research on the state of small business, what keeps small business owners up at night and their outlook for the year ahead.  Additionally, panel of distinguished DC Health Link small business customers,Compass Coffee, UrbanStems and Telecommunications Development Corporation, Inc., will share their insights on business successes and provide empowerment tips on building a small business.  Following the forum, the Washington Business Journal will publish an 8 page review of the event.
