What:
From the time DC Health Link opened for business, the District’s faith community has been an invaluable partner in the effort to reach, educate and enroll consumers in quality affordable health insurance. That's why a house of worship is a most appropriate place for DC Health Link to redouble its efforts to reach the District’s “hardest to reach” residents ahead of the January 31 deadline to enroll.
On Sunday, DC Health Benefit Exchange Authority Executive Director Mila Kofman and DC Health Link staff, along with various community partners, will join in prayer, praise and worship at the Metropolitan AME Church for a spiritual renewal as the mission continues to reach the District’s uninsured residents. In addition to information being shared from the pulpit about the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and the importance of good health and quality, affordable health insurance coverage through DC Health Link, certified in-person assisters will be onsite to provide free, confidential enrollment support and help with plan selection. These experts will also answer questions, and provide information about financial help with plan premiums and Medicaid.
