DC Health Link at FINAL PUSH “24-Hour Plus Enrollment Marathon-Relay” and Door-to-Door Canvassing

Last Date:

Location:
Building:
Details:

On the final weekend before the January 31st enrollment deadline, DC Health Link will crisscross the city in a 24 Hour Plus Enrollment Marathon-Relay to make sure residents in high uninsured areas (Wards 4,5,6,7,8) have ample opportunities to enroll in affordable quality health insurance. DC Health Link is partnering with local businesses, city leaders, and civic groups to offer District residents FREE one-on-one enrollment help for over 24 hours at different locations throughout the District to help residents obtain the health insurance coverage they need before the Open Enrollment Period ends.

The message this weekend is simply, “This is your last chance to get quality affordable health coverage for 2017. DON’T DELAY, ENROLL TODAY! Everyone must have health insurance. If you don’t have health insurance in 2016, the IRS may fine you when you file your 2017 taxes. The fine is $695 per person/$347.50 per child or 2.5% of your annual household income, whichever is greater. Eliminate the possibility of a tax penalty and get covered with quality affordable health insurance for you and your family!”

DC Health Link assisters will be available around the clock “passing the DC Health Link Enrollment Torch” from one enrollment site to the next – all day and all night into the Sunday afternoon! Remember, this weekend (Jan 28-29) is the final stretch of the race. Sprint to the finish line to get health insurance coverage for 2017.

Canvassing - DC Health Link will target neighborhoods with higher uninsured populations for direct door-to-door outreach. DC Health Link representatives and staff along with local leaders, community advocates, and volunteers will take to the streets in a door-to-door canvassing campaign to educate residents in Wards 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 about the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and health insurance options through DC Health Link, the District’s online health insurance marketplace.

Residents can visit any of the sites listed below to get FREE one-on-one enrollment support and see also see if they qualify for financial help with your monthly premium.
