The DC Department of Insurance, Securities, and Banking (DISB) regulates insurance companies in the District of Columbia. Each year, DISB reviews and approves health insurance premiums for plans sold through DC Health Link’s Individual & Family and Small Business marketplaces.
Fighting to Keep Rates Affordable
Each year, the DC Health Benefit Exchange Authority (DCHBX) works with actuaries, provides DISB with feedback, and advocates for the lowest possible premiums for all of our customers. These efforts combined with the voices of DC residents, small business owners, and Brokers are one of the reasons that DC’s health insurance premiums are among the lowest in the country.
