DC Health Link and its assister partner, Community of Hope, will march in the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. who said, “Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health care is the most shocking and inhumane."  While marching in the parade, DC Health Link staff and Community of Hope assisters will hold banners to remind residents to enroll in quality health insurance by the extended January 17 deadline for coverage beginning February 1. The last day for 2017 open enrollment is January 31 deadline. They will also hand out flyers and direct residents to enrollment events, including onsite enrollment at the Health Fair Anacostia Park (1107 Good Hope Road, SE) to be held at the end of the parade route. Assisters will be stationed at the DC Health Link table under a heated tent to answer questions, offer FREE enrollment support and provide information about financial help with monthly premium costs.
