Catching consumers at retail outlets has proven to be ideal for reaching the uninsured with information about the Affordable Care Act and sharing information about the importance of signing up for health coverage before the March 31st deadline. DC Health Link assister organization, East River Family Strengthening Collaborative (ERFSC), has established a partnership with the new Wal-Mart at 99 H Street, NW and will be on-site to weekly educate and enroll consumers.
Beginning Wednesday, February 26, 2014, an on-site enrollment/informational center will be set-up at the store and consumers will be provided information about DC Health Link and the affordable health insurance plan available to them. They will also be able to enroll in plans. Assisters and brokers will be availed to offer enrollment assistance Mondays, Wednesday and Saturday thru March 31, 2014. The DCHL on-site coordinator is Brenda Liddell - [email protected]; (202) 427-5415. For a copy of the enrollment checklist, visit www.dchealthlink.com.
