Organized jointly by Women’s March National and Women's March DC, the Power In Unity event will provide grassroots advocacy training related to the eight Unity Principles identified by the Women’s March National organization, and foster discussions around DC-specific issues and initiatives. Mila Kofman, DC Health Benefit Exchange Authority Executive Director, will be speaking during the “Providing Accessible Healthcare for Women” panel, which is described by the organizer as “When healthcare becomes a political football, women have the most to lose. Healthcare choices and accessibility are the most important factors that contribute to the wellness and health of millions of women. This workshop will focus on how we can protect our basic right to healthcare and improve access to healthcare for women.” For information about DC Health Link, visit DCHealthlink.com or call 855.532.LINK (5465).
