Last Date:

Details:

The District of Columbia and the DC Health Benefit Exchange Authority have joined “Get Covered 2021,” a national initiative to get uninsured Americans covered and promote information about quality affordable health plans and premium reductions.

The initiative was launched the week of November 16th, driving attention toward the national Get America Covered Day on December 10th, and will continue through the end of open enrollment period. Mayor Muriel Bowser along with other mayors and state governors has issued a proclamation to designating December 10, 2020 as GET COVERED AMERICA DAY and encourage Washingtonians to get covered and stay covered with mask to reduce the spread of the coronavirus and to  safeguard their health by securing of health insurance coverage through DC Health link, the city online health insurance marketplace. Celebrities have endorsed the campaign and will use their platforms to deliver the positive and inclusive message: Be safe, get covered and help someone do the same.  On December 10th, DC residents are being asked to wear their mask in a united stand in the press and on social media across the land. Our goal is to engage everyone across America – elected officials, celebrities, and community organizations – and empower them to lend their voices and platforms to promote health and safety through health insurance. Please wear your mask today and every day and post your mask-up picture to your social media accounts using #getcovered2021 and tag @DCHealthLink to join our effort in fighting the spreading of COVID-19.
