The HealthCare4ChildCare Grantee Orientation is designed to prepare grantees to successfully accomplish the goal of reaching, engaging, and educating staff of OSSE licensed child care development facilities about the newly developed health insurance benefit program which offers FREE or lower-cost health insurance for all employees of OSSE-licensed childcare centers and homes and their families. During this session facilitated by Dr. Jesse Ketterman, Extension Educator, University of Maryland Extension Program, grantees will become familiar with the basics of health insurance literacy and importance of a person's ability to seek, obtain, and understand health insurance plans — and once enrolled, use insurance to seek appropriate healthcare services.
