The Mayor’s Office on LGBTQ Affairs and ServeDC will commemorate World AIDS Day at the “Story Telling and Reflection” program designed to highlight this year’s Worlds AIDS theme, “Ending the HIV Epidemic: Equitable Access, Everyone’s Voice.” The event will bring awareness to and honor those impacted by HIV and AIDs. Attendees can expect storytelling and performances led by prominent members of the LGBTQ from the District. DC Health Link will be onsite to share information about the Affordable Care Act (ACA), DC Health Link and how residents can enroll in quality affordable health insurance through DC Health Link. Other local organizations will be available to share information about treatments and resources for those living with HIV or AIDS. HIV and AIDS testing will be on-site.
