December 15, 2019 is the last day District residents can enroll in a health plan for coverage effective January 1, 2020. With this deadline approaching, DC Health Link will help last minute shoppers get enrolled in health coverage by passing out information a local metro stops and directing residents to nearby enrollment centers. Rush-Hour “Fact Mobs” will greet thousands of residents at key Metro stations with information and reminders about the upcoming December 15 deadline. “Street Teams” from DC Health Link faith-based partner, Union Temple Baptist Church, will be deployed to key stations such as Fort Totten, Minnesota Avenue, Congress Heights, Anacostia, Columbia Heights, and Petworth. In addition to regular enrollment center hours citywide, several locations will have extended the hours including the “One-Touch” Enrollment Center with special services designed to provide comprehensive, onsite health insurance enrollment support and resources inclusive of identity verification, case management, plan selection, and information on financial help for plan premiums.
