The District of Columbia Health Benefit Exchange Authority (DCHBX) announced vacancy on its Standing Advisory Board and is seeking applicants to fill the position through the existing term which expires November 14, 2018.
Persons interested in serving should complete the application [DOC], attach a cover letter and resume and email all of this information to [email protected]. Applications will be reviewed by the DCHBX Executive Board Business Operations Working Committee and follow up will come from them. The deadline to apply is August 24, 2015.
The Standing Advisory Board was established pursuant to the Health Benefit Exchange Establishment Act of 2011 (DC Law 19-94). The Executive Board of the Health Benefit Exchange Authority established the nine-member Standing Advisory Board with staggered terms on November 14, 2012. The Executive Board solicits recommendations and consults with the Standing Advisory Board on policy issues.
Qualifications for the Standing Advisory Board Membership include being a resident of the District of Columbia and having expertise in at least one of the following categories:
- Health professionals;
- Health insurance consumers;
- Disease and demographic-specific advocacy groups;
- Commercial sector health plans;
- Public sector health plans;
- Health insurance brokers;
- Health care consumer interest advocacy;
- Health care foundations;
- Exchange Consumers; or
- Such other interests considered necessary.
The current vacancy served the qualification of being a health professional so candidates in that category are encouraged to apply.
