(Washington, DC) - Mayor Muriel Bowser announced the11th annual POWERUP DC small business summit will be held May 6 at the Business Center of the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library.
What/Who
POWERUP DC was established by DC Health Link to empower DC small businesses with tools and strategies to thrive. This year’s theme Empowering Small Business Success in a Changing Landscape speaks to the resiliency, innovation, and adaptation so necessary in today’s business environment”, said Mila Kofman, Executive Director of DC Health Benefit Exchange Authority.
John Arensmeyer, Founder and CEO of Small Business Majority, a leading national organization on small business issues, will address the summit’s morning session. Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton will keynote the luncheon program.
What/Who:
A celebration during National Small Business Week, POWERUP DC is an annual event designed to support the DC small business community. Participants will learn about the latest business trends, access to capital and how to grow and sustain a business in a new environment. One-on-one consultations with business experts, professional coaching and speed networking will also be featured. The summit is geared toward emerging entrepreneurs as well as established businesses.
