To commemorate World AIDS Day, DC Health Link grantee Whitman-Walker Health will partner with DC Health Link to conduct an HIV testing and health insurance enrollment Care-A-Van. Trained DC Health Link experts and volunteers from Howard University will be on-site with information about affordable health insurance coverage, financial help, and the availability of in-person assistance at DC Health Link Enrollment Centers​. They will answer questions, and offer enrollment and renewal application support.

DC Health Link grantee Unity Health Care will participate in the Thanksgiving tradition Feast of Sharing sponsored by Safeway.  The event will feature a Thanksgiving meal for those in need, live musical entertainment, free health screenings, community service exhibitors, and fun door prizes.  DC Health Link trained assisters will be on-site with information about affordable health insurance coverage and financial help. They will answer questions, and offer enrollment and renewal application support.

DC Health Benefit Exchange Authority Executive Director Mila Kofman, DC Health Link staff, and its various community partners will join in prayer, praise and worship at the Reid Temple AME Church at Howard Theater for a spiritual launch of the upcoming enrollment season.  In addition to information being shared from the pulpit about the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and the importance of good health and quality, affordable health insurance coverage through DC Health Link, certified in-person assisters and licensed health insurance brokers will be onsite to provide free, confidential enroll
