DC Health Link at Enrollment Marathon at La Clinica del Pueblo

At the Enrollment Marathon information and enrollment event, DC Health Link representatives will provide information about the Affordable Care Act and DC Health Link – the District’s health insurance marketplace -- Medicaid options for individuals and families, financial help, and one-on-one enrollment assistance. The event will include direct enrollment services with bilingual assistance as well as ID proofing and verification. All DC residents are invited to attend this event, especially the Spanish and Amharic speaking residents for which bilingual support will be available.

DC Health Link at Faith-In-Action Sunday (December Deadline PUSH )

DC Health Link’s Faith-In-Action initiative was designed to engage the faith community in supporting and assisting with outreach and enrollment efforts in their congregations and surrounding communities.  DC Health Link certified assisters, application counselors, brokers and/or staff will provide information about quality affordable health insurance coverage through DC Health Line and premium reductions. They will answer questions, and offer enrollment and renewal application support.

DC Health Link @ EdFEST

EdFEST is the District’s citywide school fair, where families can explore 200+ DCPS and public charter school options their children. There will be a also be a health fair including child immunizations. That is where DC Health Link certified application counselors will be located, providing information about quality affordable health insurance coverage and premium reductions. They will answer questions, and offer enrollment and renewal application support.

At the Washington Conference Capital District Conference of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, where pastors, clergy staff, and lay leaders will gather for the annual conference, DC Health Link Assister organization, the African Methodist Church Religious, Educational and Charitable Development Projects, Inc.

DC Health Link @ Georgia Avenue Winter Fest

This community festival is family-friendly with food vendors, artisans, local performers, Christmas tree sales, fire engine, children's crafts, as well as several District service providers.  The festival is sponsored by the Georgia Avenue Community Development Task Force and the Georgia and Lamont Public Safety Task Force. DC Health Link certified application counselors will provide information about quality affordable health insurance coverage and premium reductions. They will answer questions, and offer enrollment and renewal application support.

Mila Kofman, DC Health Benefit Exchange Executive Director, will join Paul Ginsburg, Norman Topping Chair in Medicine and Public Policy/Sol Price School of Public Policy at George Washington University, to have as conversation with graduate students about health policy, new health law and DC Health Link.

DC Health Link at LGBQT Outreach Enrollment Event Day at Mary’s Center

DC Health Link in partnership with Mary’s Center will be hosting a community outreach event with special emphasis on inclusion of the LGBTQ community. Information about the ACA and DC Health Link – the District’s health insurance marketplace -- Medicaid options for individuals and families, financial help, and one-on-one enrollment assistance will be included. The event will provide an opportunity to get answers to many questions regarding health insurance options, and to access FREE HIV, cholesterol, and blood pressure health screenings. There will also be a free yoga class.

DC Health Link at Small Business Saturday and New DC Health Link SHOP Decal

On Small Business Saturday, November 28, DC Health Link business partners, Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington, DC Chamber of Commerce, will be distributing DC Health Link “We’re Covered” decals, signaling the business has enrolled in employee/employer health insurance through DC Health Link.  The decals (see below) will be placed on the doors/windows of businesses.

DC Health Link at World AIDS Day Candlelight Vigil

World AIDS Day Candlelight Vigil honors those affected by AIDS and the ongoing leadership efforts to end this worldwide epidemic.  DC Health Link Certified Application Counselor (CAC) organization, Us Helping Us, will provide information to consumers about quality affordable health insurance coverage and qualifications for monthly premium reductions.
