DC Health Link, in partnership with the Mayor’s Office of Women’s Policy and Initiative will participate in “Fresh Start Wednesdays” a free training series for women focusing on issues such as family enrichment, financial planning, and entrepreneurship. DC Health Link speakers will discuss the importance of affordable quality health insurance for women and speak about how women and mothers can help get their families covered through DC Health Link.
DC Health Link assister /navigator organization, Whitman Walker Health will conduct mobile outreach on their HIV testing van to the LGBTQ community during the “Bear Happy Hour” at the Town Dance Boutique. Information will be shared about the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and DC Health Link, the District online market place for quality affordable health insurance. Trained experts will be available on the mobile van to offer one-on-one enrollment assistance, determine if consumers qualify for monthly premium reductions, and answer questions about enrollment and insurance renewal.
