DC Health Link - Faith in Action - Interfaith Weekend at Muslim Mosque
DC Health Link’s Faith in Action initiative was designed to engage the faith community to support and assist with outreach and enrollment in their congregations and surrounding communities. At the Masjid Muhammad Mosque, DC Health Link will be on-site with trained In-Person Assisters and licensed health insurance brokers to provide information about affordable health insurance through DC Health Link, Medicaid options and financial help with plan premiums. They will answer questions and assist with enrollment and plan selection.
DC Health Link – Boyz 2 Men Barber Shop Day
Barber shops in African American communities are more than a place to get a haircut, a shave and other grooming services. It’s also a gathering sanctum where men meet and enjoy camaraderie, share stories about life events; get the latest information about community happenings. and In recent years, barber shops have become a setting where health promotion and study take place. Many neighborhoods barbershops are the center of activities where young boys learn a little something about manhood and get a taste of the cultural nuances of African American masculinity and prowess.

DC Health Link’s Faith Inn Action initiative was designed to engage the faith community to support and assist with outreach and enrollment in their congregations and surrounding communities. The Leadership Council for Healthy Communities (LCHC), a DC Health Link IPA organization, will be on-site with trained In-Person Assisters and health insurance brokers to provide information about affordable health insurance through DC Health Link, Medicaid options and financial help with plan premiums. They will answer questions and assist with enrollment and plan selection.

DC Health Link - Ministry of Justice and Health and Healing
A DC Health Link representative will be available to answer questions for members and the community about the Affordable Care Act, DC Health Link – the District’s online health insurance marketplace, Medicaid options for individuals and families, and application assistance, financial help, and the enrollment deadline. DC Health Link - African American Week of Action - MLK, Jr., Holiday Parade
DC Health Link representatives will march in the spirit of Dr. King who said, "Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health care is the most shocking and inhumane." They will hold banners reminding people to enroll by the February 15 deadline, hand out flyers and direct residents to enrollment events, including one on the same day at nearby UPO Petey Green Community Center, 2907 MLK Jr. Ave., SE.
DC Health Link - African American Week of Action - UPO 2nd Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service
DC Health Link representatives will attend the community service day to honor Dr. King’s legacy and to help DC residents enroll both before and after the parade on MLK Jr. Avenue, SE. Several planned activities will take place at the Center including Street store fresh produce, workshops, cooking and healthy living demonstrations and more!
