DC Health Link has designated every 2nd Sunday of the month during Open Enrollment as “Faith in Action Sunday. On these Sundays, faith leaders share information from the pulpit about the importance of good health and quality affordable health insurance coverage through DC Health Link.  Trained In-Person Assisters and health insurance brokers will be onsite to assist with enrollment and plan selection, answer questions, and provide information about Medicaid options and financial support with plan premiums.

DC Health Link will advertise on 14 screens and have representatives at the Gallery Place Movie Theater to reach theater goers as they enter and leave the theater to view the story of the 1965 Selma-to-Montgomery March, the first major motion picture about Dr. Martin Luther King, one of the pivotal leaders of the American civil rights movement and one of the few leadership roles available to black men, who stated, “Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health care is the most shocking and inhumane.” Selma features the riveting stories of John Lewis, Diane Nash, C.T.
