A DC Health Link representative along with church faith leader will communicate information about the Affordable Care Act (ACA), the new online marketplace, DC Health Link, and the new Medicaid. Certified in-person assisters and insurance brokers will be onsite to assist with enrollment and to answer questions.
DC Health Link has established MLK, Jr. Library as one of 6 enrollment sites located throughout the city where certified In-Person Assisters will be available to enroll consumers in affordable, quality health insurance. Consumers will learn about the benefits of health insurance, Medicaid options, receive application and enrollment assistance, and financial help with plan payments. For those who already have health insurance, information on the renewal process will be available as well. Walk-ins, appointments and translation services will be accommodated at this site.
