USAID Benefits Fair at National Press Building

Assist DC and Young Invincibles In-Person assisters will be at the benefits fair to provide information to contractors who do not receive benefits. USAID has put together a benefit fair for their contractors, including health insurance, and has asked us to come and represent DC HealthLink. The IPA's will be available to answer any questions they may have about their health care coverage options. Enrollment assistance will be provided. Additionally, special appointments with certified assisters and licensed insurance brokers will also be scheduled as necessary.

DC Health Link Interfaith Sunday - Sikh Temple

DC Health Link along with its partner agency, the Mayor's Office on Asian and Pacific Islander Affairs will extend its faith based outreach to members at Sikh Temple during a Mass where senior staff will speak to members to promote the importance of the ACA and DC Health Link.  Assisters and insurance brokers will be onsite after the mass to answer questions and help enroll members in affordable health plans through DC Health Link.  They usually have over 100 to 200 people attending mass. The leader of the Sikh temple is Dr. Daljit Sawhney.

A DC Health Link representative will preside as a panel member and provide information to the audience about the affordable health insurance options available to consumers under the Affordable Care Act through DC Health Link, the District’s new online health insurance marketplace, new Medicaid changes and eligibility options.

A DC Health Link representative sand local faith leaders will present information about the Affordable Care Act (ACA), the new online market place, DC Health Link, and the new Medicaid. Certified Assisters and insurance brokers will be available on site to assist with the applications and enrollment process.
