AARP DC is hosting the first meeting the DC Health Advocates group in 2013. The newly appointed Executive Director of the Health Authority Exchange Board, Mila Kofman, will brief the group on consumer issues (e.g., Qualified Health Plans and Essential Health Benefits) and respond to questions. This meeting is for members of DC Health Advocate community.

Dr. Mohammad Akhter, Chairman of the HBX Board will discuss what the mission and goals of the HBX and its progress over the next year. He will also discuss the important dates and actions the Board must take for the Exchange to be operational, what businesses should prepare for, how businesses can learn more about the Exchange and become stakeholder partners in the development and implementation of the Exchange.
