Faith communities have been engaged to help spread the word about the January 31 health insurance enrollment deadline. DC Health Link certified assisters and student interns will be onsite after morning worship service at several faith-based institutions to distribute enrollment information, answer questions and enroll uninsured residents in quality, affordable health insurance. DC Health Link literature will be placed prominently at other locations. Pastors and clergy leaders will speak from their pulpits about the need to be insured and urge their congregants to enroll.

DC Health Link outreach teams will be targeting neighborhoods with higher uninsured populations for direct door-to-door outreach through its “Knock, Knock” Door-to-Door Canvassing Campaign.” Specially designed door knockers will be placed on the doorknobs of residences and on car windshields in these targeted areas.
