Books and Benefits: Bringing Enrollment Opportunities to Every Ward in the District Before March Deadline

Friday, January 31, 2014
Enrollment support will be offered this Saturday in Wards 2 and 3 at neighborhood libraries.

What/Who:
The March 31st deadline for enrolling in health insurance is rapidly approaching, however, there is still enough time and locations available to ensure consumers are able to get the coverage they need before the end of March, 2014.

DC Health Link will be hosting a series of enrollment days at various DC Public Libraries in every ward of the city. These enrollment days have been set aside to enroll residents, small business owners and their employees in affordable health plans that meet their needs and budgets through DC Health Link. DC Health Link is the District’s new online marketplace for health insurance coverage.

Enrollment days aim to bring the opportunity for consumers to enroll in health plans directly to residents in their neighborhoods, so that they do not have to leave their communities in order to sign-up for health insurance.

Trained experts, DC Health Link assisters and licensed health insurance brokers will be at each of the locations to provide information and assist with the enrollment process. For more information and to find out when an enrollment day is coming to your ward, visit DCHealthLink.com.
