DC Health Link online enrollment is now open for consumers looking to begin their health insurance coverage on February 1, 2014.

Any consumer who applied for health insurance but was not able to choose a health plan by December 23, 2013 and who needs coverage to begin January 1, 2014 will be helped by the DC Health Link Contact Center at 1-855-532-5465.  Enrollment for January 1, 2014 coverage can only be done through the Contact Center.  

The DC Health Link Contact Center has had very high call volume.  To avoid wait times, affected consumers who want health insurance effective January 1, 2014 should email the Contact Center at [email protected] as soon as possible.  The subject heading for the email should state “January 1 Enrollment.”  The email must include all of the following information:

1.    Full name of applicant

2.    Date of birth

3.    If applicable, full name and date of birth for each family member being enrolled

4.    Application reference number

5.    Health Insurance Selection:

• Insurance Company Name and Name of Plan 
• Full Monthly premium (before Advance Premium Tax Credit if applicable)
• If eligible for advance premium tax credit (APTC):
  • Maximum APTC (for the application household) – NOTE:   Full APTC will be applied unless consumer indicates lesser amount to apply to premium.
  • Indicate lesser amount than full APTC – NOTE: If no amount is indicated, the full APTC will be applied to the premium.

6.    If applicable, Dental Health Insurance:

• Insurance Company Name and Name of Plan
• Monthly premium

7.    A telephone number where you can be reached.

8.    An email where you can be reached.

The DC Health Link Contact Center is open 8 am to 8 pm on December 24, 2013 and closed on Wednesday, December 25, 2013.  On Thursday, December 26, 2013 regular hours will be in effect.  Regular hours are 8 am to midnight Monday through Saturday.
