DC Health Link Dec. 15 deadline push in full force

WHAT/WHO:

Thursday, December 15, 2016 is the last day District residents can enroll in a health plan with benefits effective January 1, 2017. With this deadline less than 24 hours away, DC Health Link is ramping up its efforts to remind last minute shoppers and to help get them enrolled in health coverage that begins the first day of the New Year. These enhanced efforts include Fact Mobs at Metro stations, extended hours at the call center and at several enrollment centers, social media, and additional enrollment opportunities.

DC Health Link is extending the hours at FIVE enrollment centers—Whitman Walker Health Center, Unity Health Care, the Community of Hope Conway Health Resource Center, and Carlos Rosario International Public Charter School, which is a One Touch Enrollment Center. One Touch Enrollment Centers are designed to provide comprehensive, onsite health insurance enrollment support and resources including identity verification, case management, plan selection, and information on financial help for plan premiums.

Additionally, “Fact Mobs” with DC Health Link assisters, community leaders, and faith-based partners will be at Metro stations on Wednesday, December 15, 2016, during morning and afternoon rush hours distributing information and directing consumers to the closest One Touch Enrollment Center. “Fact Mobs” are where assisters greet residents at Metro station and pass out information and shouting out important facts about the Affordable Care Act and DC Health Link and encouraging residents “Don’t Delay, Enroll Today!”
