Knock-Knock, Guess Who? DC Health Link Outreach Teams!

Wednesday, March 26, 2014
Teams will canvass Ward 5 today to conduct door-to-door education and outreach during final enrollment push.

What/Who:

With just five days left in the first health insurance open enrollment period, DC Health Link continues its targeted outreach approach by reaching out to Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) residents today in the Florida Avenue Market area. DC Health Link is also focusing on small business and their employees for enrollment during the final health insurance enrollment push.

Florida Avenue Market, which is the District’s wholesale shopping area in Ward 5, is host to dozens of AAPI District owned businesses. In partnership with the Mayor’s Office on Asian and Pacific Islander Affairs, outreach staff will be spreading the enrollment message of “Don’t Delay, Enroll Today!” by knocking on the doors of small business owners located at Florida Avenue NE Market area. Although small businesses do not have an enrollment in 2014, DC Health Link wants to ensure small business owners receive every opportunity to sign-up early and receive expert assistance if needed.

Outreach teams will provide educational materials and schedule small businesses and their employees for enrollment appointments with licensed health insurance brokers.

When/Where:

Wednesday, March 26 – 11 am - 2 pm

Florida Avenue Market Area
