Luis Vasquez Named Director of Business Development

(Washington, DC) – Today, DC Health Benefit Exchange Authority (HBX) Executive Director Mila Kofman announces that Luis Vasquez is rejoining HBX in a new role, Director of Business Development. As a member of the HBX Senior Leadership Team, Vasquez will lead DC Health Link’s business development and retention to support District small businesses and non-profits on DC Health Link. DC Health Link covers approximately 5,300 District employers providing health insurance to their employees. He will also work closely with the Hispanic and Latinx communities and serve as HBX’s spokesperson with Spanish-language media.

“We are excited to welcome Luis back to HBX,” said Executive Director Mila Kofman. “With a deep understanding of how DC Health Link Online Marketplace for Business works for small businesses and non-profits, Luis is well positioned to lead our efforts on business development and retention to support our services to District employers.”

Vasquez most recently served as Senior Advisor to the Director of Healthcare and Insurance at the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, and prior to that served as Senior Advisor to the Assistant Secretary of Administration at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
