What/Who:
DC faith leaders will continue their efforts to inform parishioners about the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and encourage DC residents and small business owners to enroll in affordable health plans on the District’s new online health insurance marketplace, DC Health Link. Certified DC Health Link Assisters and Insurance Brokers will be on-site to offer enrollment assistance.

Background:
The new health law provides individuals, families, and small businesses in the District of Columbia with new options for quality, affordable health insurance. DC Health Link is the District’s online health insurance marketplace that allows visitors to shop, compare, and buy coverage that fits their needs and budgets.
Eligible residents have until March 31, 2014, to enroll in a health insurance plan through DCHealthLink.com. Those who enroll before December 15, 2013, will have benefits effective January 1, 2014. Small businesses can enroll through DCHealthLink.com at any point.
