Details: Each year, DC Health link business partner, the DC Chamber of Commerce, convenes members of the business community, local health care providers, industry experts, and government representatives to discuss emerging trends and issues as it relates to the District’s healthcare sector. This year the forum, sponsored by CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, will focus on The Future of DC’s Healthcare Workforce: Capacity and Pipeline Challenges and Solutions. The forum will draw a diverse audience of participants, including representatives of businesses of all sizes (small and large), healthcare providers, and policy experts. The discussion will focus on the effects of the pandemic on the District’s workforce, how we can look at job loss data as indicators to support residents and workers, and how employers can find solutions to challenges tied to the current labor shortage many currently face.
