The DC Office of the Attorney General and MedStar Family Choice will host the First Annual Fatherhood Conference and Men’s Health Fair, a day of education and enrichment to help men who want to become better fathers. The Fatherhood Conference will help men get mentally in tune with themselves and their families, teach them how to maintain and improve their finances, and educate them on the crucial role of child support in maintaining healthy relationships with their families. The conference will also educate men, boys and their families about preventable health problems and encourage them to take an active role in their own and their family’s healthcare. The conference theme is “Celebrating me: Bridging the gap; Investing in our future.” DC Health Link certified Assisters will be on site to provide in-person education and enrollment assistance to District consumers as well as answer questions, and provide information about Medicaid options and financial help with plan premiums.
