The 2023 Annual Chinese Lunar New Year parade is organized by the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association of Washington, DC (CCBA) in partnership with the DC Mayor’s Office on Asian and Pacific Islander Affairs (MOAPIA). This is the Year of the Rabbit, and this year will be the biggest and most dynamic parade ever with traditional Chinese lions, dragons and such but including a variety of other parade groups sure to please such as Washington Wizards mascot – G-Wiz, DC’s Different Drummers, Fortune Cookie Tossers, Almas Shriners, and their Clowns driving miniature vehicles and more. DC Health Link outreach teams will participate in the parade and distribute DC Health Link enrollment information, urge residents to enrolled before the January 31 open enrollment deadline, and direct residents to enrollment options.
