Details: The Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GWHCC), a DC Health Link business partner, will host a QuickBooks and Health Insurance Options training session for new business owners. The in-person training will feature “QuickBooks Online,” an accounting software tool for small business. The training will also include the GWHCC DC Health Link program manager providing the participants with information about DC Health Link, the District’s online health insurance marketplace, and the small business marketplace, known as SHOP. The manager will also share information about the importance and benefits of small businesses offering health insurance to their employees, information about enrollment through the individual market using the Special Enrollment Periods if employer coverage is not an option at this time and will answer questions about DC Health Link. A licensed and DC Health Link certified broker will share in the discussion to encourage and enroll businesses owners and entrepreneurs in the SHOP marketplace.
