In partnership with the Mayor’s Office of African Affairs (MOAA), DC Health Link will host a series of town hall conversation, “Get Facts. Get Covered: Health Insurance Literacy,” for members of the DC Immigrant Community. The complexity of health insurance choices can be overwhelming to many consumers, especially members of immigrant communities. And because health insurance coverage impacts access to health care services, the need to understand health plan features is essential.

To provide consumers with the tools to make informed choices and wise purchasing decisions about health plans, this town hall conversation will focus on what consumers need to know to choose plans best for them and their families. Attendees will also receive information and resources to make informed decisions about health insurance options available through DC Health Link.
