The Mayor’s Office on African Affairs and the Mayor’s Office on African American Affairs will host a panel discussion with health professionals, art therapists and other service providers to discuss the impact of COVID-19 on the mental health of African children. Mental health service is one the 10 essential benefits of the Affordable Care Act and having health insurance in a major factor in getting appropriate care and treatment for mental health conditions. DC Health Link assisters will be onsite to share information with residents about the Affordable Care and the 10-essential health, access to quality, affordable health insurance through DC Health Link and the steps to enroll during the FY 22 Open Enrollment Period.
