DC Health Link will be targeting neighborhoods with higher uninsured populations for direct door-to-door outreach through its “Knock, Knock” Door-to-Door Canvassing Campaign. ” The campaign, which is part of the hyperlocal approach to reach the remaining uninsured, is designed to reach the residents in Wards 1, 4, 5, 7, and 8 where they live, work, shop, play and pray. The campaign will be joined by community leaders, DC Councilmembers and local and federal officials who will canvass neighborhoods to educate residents on DC Health Link and the upcoming deadlines, and also to enlist their assistance in connecting their uninsured neighbors, friends, and family to DC Health Link for enrollment through the Each One, Link One Campaign. Specially designed door knockers will be placed on the door knobs of residences. Information will be distributed about quality health insurance options through DC Health Link as well as enrollment locations where residents can get free enrollment assistance and information about financial support with monthly premium. Residents will also be reminded of the upcoming enrollment deadlines and the tax penalty if they do have insurance coverage in 2017. Follow us on Twitter and Instagram @DCHealthLink.
