At this meeting of the 7th District Community Justice Advisory Network during Mental Health Awareness month, there will be a discussion of the challenges, resources and future of those in our community who are plagued my mental health concerns. Often stigmatized, these individuals as well as those who care about them, are not always aware of the options available for treatment and care. Our guest presenters will include those who work directly in balancing the lives of these individuals, and professionals who provide resources to this vulnerable population in our community. DC Health Link certified Assisters will be on site to provide in-person education and enrollment assistance to District consumers as well as answer questions, and provide information about Medicaid options and financial help with plan premiums.
