DC Health Link – Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce New Member Morning Reception

The GWHCC New Member Morning Reception event offers the opportunity for new and potential members to receive information about the Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GWHCC) and its portfolio of services.  During the event GHWCC and DC Health Link will setup a stand with flyers and resources to inform and educate attendees about the ACA and its benefits for small businesses. The GWHCC designated Program Manager will be available to answer any questions.

The Business Expo has become a connection between small business owners and potential clients and organizations that support their growth. During the EXPO, the GHWCC and DC Health Link will have a booth with information and other resources to inform and educate small business owners and local community leaders about the ACA and its benefits.

With the deadline for enrolling in health insurance coverage for 2016 ending on Sunday, January 31st, local places of worship throughout the District have partnered with DC Health Link to do their part to ensure District residents and members of their congregations have opportunities to enroll in quality affordable health insurance before the clock strikes 12 midnight. More than a dozen faith based institutions and organizations in the District have joined DC Health Link in ensuring that District consumers do not miss the deadline and be subject to tax penalties.

DC Health Link at Final Push “24-Hour Plus Enrollment Marathon-Relay”

On the final weekend of the January 31st enrollment deadline, DC Health Link will crisscross the city this in a 24 hour plus enrollment marathon-relay to make sure residents have ample opportunities to enroll in affordable quality health insurance. DC Health Link is partnering with local businesses, city leaders, and civic groups to offer District residents FREE one-on-one enrollment help non-stop for more than 36 hours at different locations throughout the District to help residents obtain the health insurance coverage they need before the Open Enrollment Period ends.

DC Health Link and the Washington Business Journal (WBJ) has partnered to sponsor the Book of Lists Celebration, which is designed to honor all the top local executives published in the Book of Lists. This networking reception is WBJ’s largest event of the year and proves to be an area favorite among business owners and executives each year. The Book of Lists has proven to be the most valuable reference guide for business in and around Greater Washington. It is a compilation of the lists published throughout the year in the weekly edition of the Washington Business Journal.

DC Health Link at Knock, Knock, Who’s There? Door-To-Door Campaign (Ward 4)

With the January 31 Open Enrollment Deadline approaching, DC Health Link is targeting neighborhoods with higher uninsured populations for direct door-to-door outreach. DC Health Link will be joined by DC Councilmembers, community advocates, and local volunteers in canvassing the Petworth neighborhood to educate residents about DC Health Link and the January 31 deadline.

Getting the word out to District residents about the January 31st deadline for health insurance in 2016 will be the focus of DC Health Link representatives at the Wizards game.  DC Health Link tables and banners will be prominently displayed and special basketball themed fliers will be distributed urging residents to enroll and to tell others about the deadline.
