New Year's is the traditional time to set new goals and resolutions, especially resolutions to improve one’s health and fitness. January is a busy month at fitness centers across the country.  DC Health Link has partnered with LA Fitness to host a series of information and enrollment events during the month of January to promote health and wellness – as well as enrollment in quality affordable health insurance coverage through DC Health Link. Trained experts will be onsite with information and to provide enrollment assistance.

December 15, 2015 is the deadline for consumers to enroll in quality affordable health insurance for coverage beginning January 1.  DC Health Link assisters and certified navigators will be at three District cafés for what is called a “Café Crawl” to enroll the young invincibles and other consumers in coverage. They will set up at the Tryst Coffeehouse, The Diner, and The Potters House, with laptops in hand. The assisters and navigators will also provide DC Health Link information other materials as well as answer questions about the enrollment process.

December 15, 2015 is the last day District residents can enroll in a health plan for coverage effective January 1, 2016. With this deadline now only two days away, DC Health Link will help last minute shoppers get enrolled in health coverage by passing out information a local metro stops and directing consumers to nearby enrollment centers. “Fact Mobs” with DC Health Link assisters will take place during morning and afternoon rush hours.

DC Health Link’s Faith-In-Action initiative was designed to engage the faith community in supporting and assisting with outreach and enrollment efforts in their congregations and surrounding communities.  DC Health Link certified assisters, application counselors, brokers and/or staff will provide information about quality affordable health insurance coverage through DC Health Link, and premium reductions. They will answer questions, and offer enrollment and renewal application support.
