This community wellness fair will offer services as well as free fresh produce and baby/adult diapers. DC Health Link outreach teams will attend the Health, Nutrition, Wellness and Services Fair in Northeast DC and distribute information to residents in need.
This long-running street festival will feature music of different genres, dance, youth-based performances, interactive children’s program, fashion, heritage arts, and poetry. There will be activity stations that focus on participatory artwork, informational stations that promote arts education, and exhibitor stations that showcase D.C. based artists. Metropolitan Police Department is hosting “Beat The Streets” community initiative series designed to celebrate togetherness, dispel violence, and improve community relations. The DC Public Schools’ Back to School Block Party is a celebration to welcome students, families, teachers, school administration, and community members to a successful start to the new school year. The Block Party is designed to engage the DC community in a fun and welcoming environment while providing information and resources. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and gather materials from community organizations and District Government agencies, including health & wellness, food access, and college & career readiness to name a few.
