Back-To-School Block Party

The DC Public Schools’ Back to School Block Party is a celebration to welcome students, families, teachers, school administration, and community members to a successful start to the new school year. The Block Party is designed to engage the DC community in a fun and welcoming environment while providing information and resources. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and gather materials from community organizations and District Government agencies, including health & wellness, food access, and college & career readiness to name a few.

Central Community Development Corporation (CCDC) is hosting an Open House for the Family Resource Center. The Family Resource Center @ CCDC is a community-based, non-profit organization located that will provide family-focused, and culturally sensitive support, resources and targeted program services based on the needs and interests of families in the community. The Open House will feature blood pressure screenings, chair massage, yoga, school supplies, refreshments, and food distribution.
