In celebration of National Hispanic Enrollment Week of Action, DC Health Link in partnership with the Mayor’s Office of Latino Affairs (MOLA), the Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GWHCC), Mary’s Center and other community based organizations, will host the 6th Annual Hispanic Enrollment Week of Action from January 11 to 16, 2021.
Mary’s Center in partnership with DC Health Link will provide health insurance information and enrollment services directly to families at El Hanes Public Charter School. Information about steps to enrollment along with Medicaid and private insurance options, qualified health plans and financial help with plan premiums will be shared. DC Health Link community partner, Whitman Walker, is hosting the inaugural exhibit See You There: Making History at Whitman-Walker – timed to coincide with World AIDS Day. Inspired by Whitman-Walker's ongoing Oral History Project, the exhibit looks back at the early history of the clinic—one of the first institutions in the country focused on LGBTQ and HIV care. The exhibition includes documents, and fresh stories and artworks, some of them newly commissioned. It casts back a queer look at some of the facts and some of the lore of Whitman-Walker.

DC Health Link will participate in the Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Community Meeting hosted by the Mayor’s Office of Asian Pacific Islander Affairs (MOAPIA). The meeting will discuss issues of concerns on the topics of public safety relative to the recent COVID-19 bias-motivated hate crime, safety concerns from Chinatown residents, business owners, and stakeholders; the Restaurant Bridge Fund and tenant rights during COVID-19 pandemic.

Do not miss this webinar where critical facts will be shared that you need to understand about access to capital. The DC Health Link program manager will be available during this webinar to provide information about the Special Enrollment Period and answer questions from business owners and entrepreneurs about DC Health Link, the District’s online health insurance marketplace.
DC Health Link and The Latin American Youth Center (LAYC), a DC Health Link community partner, will host a virtual event to discuss what protocols LAYC has taken during COVID-19 pandemic. As COVID-19 cases are spiking throughout the country, and with the holiday season having officially started, virus cases are projected to go up more. DC Health Link encourages everyone to join a COVID-19 Latinx Symposium hosted by LAYC to learn about ways to alleviate the spread of the virus during this joyous season.
