The Mayor's Office on Latino Affairs will host this event featuring presentations by Immigrant Justice Legal Service’s grantees. This is a program started by Mayor Bowser in 2017 to provide funding to community-based organizations, private organizations, associations, and law firms that do legal work for immigrants in the District, and residents will be able to ask questions and learn more about next steps.
With the January 31 open enrollment deadline looming, DC Health Link will help last minute shoppers get enrolled in health coverage by passing out information a local metro stops and directing consumers to nearby enrollment centers. These “Fact Mobs” will take place during morning and afternoon rush hours.
At the Enrollment Saturday event, information and enrollment event, DC Health Link representatives will provide information about the Affordable Care Act and DC Health Link – the District’s health insurance marketplace -- Medicaid options for individuals and families, financial help, and one-on-one enrollment assistance. The event will include direct enrollment services with bilingual assistance as well as ID proofing and verification. All DC residents are invited to attend this event, especially the Spanish and Amharic speaking residents for which bilingual support will be available.
On the final weekend before the January 31st enrollment deadline, DC Health Link will crisscross the city in a 24 hour plus enrollment marathon-relay to make sure residents have ample opportunities to enroll in affordable quality health insurance. DC Health Link is partnering with local businesses, city leaders, and civic groups to offer District residents FREE one-on-one enrollment help non-stop for more than 36 hours at different locations throughout the District to help residents obtain the health insurance coverage they need before the Open Enrollment Period ends.

Bilingual experts will be available to meet with residents and provide information about quality affordable health insurance coverage and premium reductions. They will answer questions, and offer enrollment and renewal application support.
