DC Health link@ Local Restaurants with Table Tent Enrollment Deadline Reminders
National African American Enrollment Week of Action coincides with DC Restaurant Week. DC Health Link has partnered with three local restaurants to spread the word about enrolling in quality, affordable health insurance before the January 31 deadline. Participating establishments of the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington (RAMW) will place DC Health Link information tent cards on restaurant tables.

Enrollment Deadline Weekend Media-A-Thon
With the Jan. 31 enrollment deadline fastly approaching, DC Health Link is kicking into gear during the final days to the close of the 2022 Open Enrollment Period 9. During the final days, instead of the usual creative outreach events for its 24-hour enrollment marathon, this year DC Health Link is reaching residents virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic and is pulling out all the stops to reach uninsured residents through virtual events and activities as well as through a weekend media-a-thon with social, digital, print and broadcast media.
"Don't Sweat It, Get Covered" Virtual Zumba with Young Invincibles
Young Invincibles, a DC Health Link community partner, will host a virtual Zumba class in recognition of National Youth Enrollment Day. Attendees will participate in fun and energizing Zumba routines for cardiovascular fitness and learn how to get health insurance coverage through the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Young Adult Week of Action continues when DC Health Link, in partnership with the Department of Human Services (DHS), the Department of Health Care Finance (DHCF), Carlos Rosario International Public Charter School and the Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GWHCC) has e stablished Virtual One Touch Enrollment.

DC Health Link and the Latin American Youth Center LAYC), a DC Health Link community partner, have joined together as partners to accelerate outreach and enrollment efforts of youth and young adults during National Young Adult Week of Action (Jan 4-9, 2022). A virtual conversation live on Instagram will focus on affordable health insurance options for youth and young adults, the benefits of coverage, and the features of the 2022 health plans. DC Health Link Deputy Executive Director, Purvee Kempf will be interviewed by the Latin American Youth Center’s (LAYC) Darsheeka Patel.
